Bass are active and feeding mostly on shad. Main-lake points are holding good numbers of bass, and brush piles will become key spots as the month progresses. Using a jig, jerkbait, and jig-head minnow works well. On overcast days, jerkbaits and jig-head minnows excel, while sunny days favor jigs in brush areas. There’s also a solid topwater bite early in the day.
